Delete Account

You can delete your Aiimii account and personal data at any time. Here is how, and what happens to your data.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)

• Open Aiimii and sign in.
• Go to Profile → Account settings → Account management → Delete account.
• Confirm. Your account is deactivated immediately and queued for deletion.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We may ask you to verify your identity before we proceed. We will action verified requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we delete or irreversibly anonymise the personal data associated with your account, including:

• your profile, "needs", preferences and uploaded photos/media;
• your matches and the messages you sent through the Service;
• your account identifiers (email, sign-in identifiers, date of birth, nickname, gender).

What may be retained, and why

We may retain a limited amount of data where we are legally required or permitted to do so — for example to comply with legal, tax or accounting obligations, to prevent fraud or abuse, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the safety of others (such as records relating to reports or bans). Such data is kept only as long as necessary and then deleted. Residual copies may remain in secure backups until overwritten on our regular cycle.

Timing

Deactivation is immediate. Deletion of personal data is completed within 30 days of a confirmed request, except for data we are required to retain as described above.
